Getting Started
Self Sigma began with a simple act of service. In 2011, a fellow soldier preparing to leave the military asked Logan for help writing a few bullet points for his resume because he felt he wasn’t able to convey his qualifications effectively. That small favor sparked a crucial realization—many service members struggle to translate their military experience useable information for civilian career opportunities. Logan quickly became the go-to resource in his unit, assisting soldiers in refining their resumes, communicating their unique experiences, and positioning themselves for success beyond the military. He also began to realize that he not only had a knack for translating military experience into civilian skills, but he also had a passion for it.
As this passion grew, so did Logan’s expertise. He shifted his undergraduate studies to Communications, recognizing the power of clear, compelling messaging in career advancement. In 2016, he became a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW), and in 2017, he earned an MBA, deepening his ability to guide professionals at all career levels. Over the years, he has helped countless individuals transition into new industries, secure high-level government positions, step into executive leadership roles, and land roles at Fortune 500 companies.
In 2021, Logan launched Self Sigma, a brand built on the belief that success is not about following the norm—it’s about making intentional shifts to more beyond average. While the company now serves professionals across industries, its foundation remains rooted in supporting military members as they transition into civilian or government careers. Helping service members translate their skills, experiences, and leadership into meaningful opportunities isn’t just part of Self Sigma’s history, it’s an ongoing commitment.
